Review Time! [04-07-05]

  Hey every body! Earlier this week, i submitted the BKF link to the stella online community on livejournal, looking for a little feedback, maybe a couple new fans. The response was awesome- so i figured i would post some of the reviews of the movies up here!

I mean, the Fluffy one is about an exploding dog, check, I got that much. but what else? and golf? saw zero point to that, still trying to wrap my head around it.. ...unless of course you were making them funny by having them be unfunny. which, in that case, you sir are a genius."

  wow, long time no speak. Sorry for the lack of updates here- so much has been going down lately i just haven't had time to update the site as much as i'd like to. But in any event, here's what's new and going on.
  PSA never made it to the web, but it's okay, like a ton of other shit we have coming up, it's in the works for 2005. we have a bunch of new scripts in the works, and plans for filming of a new movie (still untitled) for the first weekend in march. I hope some new stuff up here soon, i've missed the BKF!
  I got a new computer since we last spoke, with infinitely better video editing capabilities, and that's one of the reasons all editing was put on hold, to accomodate and get used to new equipment. But the new movies will be amazing- and in the meantime, download the rest of the old ones, get some laughs, and prepare for all new lunacy from BKF... we don't die, we multiply bitches...

  what's up everybody. Got a quite a bit of news today. first off, to anybody who's been unable to access the site due to "direct-x" or other kinds of errors, i have no idea what's up with that, sorry! I am working on getting to the bottom of it! 
  But i guess i should talk about the good shit first. we have a couple new movies in the works, one of which is entitled "PSA", which is really close to completion. The movie is a featurette, hosted by us, for all new parents. And what i've decided to do is: the movie will be released here in segments, one every week for six weeks, until the whole film is up, then we will release the film in its entirety. But it's some really funny shit, with some great footage starring John Bryan, Tom Hynes, David Strauss, and Jeff Sylva. The first will be released on monday, Oct. 11th- so be sure to be back here then to get it!
  Secondly, i created a cool new BKF board that you should hit up- it's got tons of exclusive info, casting calls, etc, as well as a chance for you to talk to other fans about BKF, music, movies, or really, anything you want. I know it doesn't have a lot on it right now, but join and start talking, and it'll start rolling!

  just a quick update for this week. We've begun work on a new movie, tenatively titled "PSA- Babies and you, a parent's guide to idiots." It's really fucking funny, featuring a ton of footage we were going to use for a baby on board sequel that got scrapped, lots of funny stuff. Asides from that, we have a couple other movies in the scripting, writing and casting processes, so check back on the site often, as we will be having a casting call for a few upcoming movies soon [for anyone who's wanted to be in a crappy low-budget comedy film]. And i tweaked the site a little bit. The new site is in the works but i've been really busy, so i'll try to get it up soon... but for now, i'm focusing on the movies. oh, and if you haven't gone and watched the new movie I uploaded last week, get on it! talk to you all soon!   It's been a big week for us here at BKF. Not only did we get exposed [i should say we exposed ourselves to] a international filmmaker, premiere a new movie at a movienight at the geekfight compound, get a ton of hits due to our movie on CJ, we have a brand new movie right here on the website! go to the movies section and get the completed Big Date! It features digital pictures, photoshop, hot girls, nudity, and as usual, a ton of really twisted funny stuff. so go watch it, i promise you'll enjoy it. well, actually that's not true. but at least you'll be able to say you watched it. GO!!

9-10-04

  well, it's been an amusing day for us here at BKF. for a bunch of reasons. first- tom gets a phone call from a friend he hasn't spoken to in years saying "hey, i just say a movie with you in it on the internet! on what site? on consumption junction!" well, last week i sent a BKF to the sickos at CJ and they posted the movie this morning- and even if we don't get a single hit to our site because of it, i'm still fucking stoked that we got on there [not that it's really that hard, just poop on somebody and take a picture of it or something]. but don't take my word for it, go watch it for yourself! and to anyone who found us via CJ... welcome! we got plenty of stupid for ya ready to go.

8-28-04

  this is big, kids- this might be the first time this has happenned in well over a year now-- but i did some editing this morning and i think that every single film on the website is up, available, and running. HOLY SHIT, I KNOW! so now you can get the whole collection from our first movie, golf, to the two latest trailers! but knowing our luck something'll go wrong soon, so get em while they're here!

  okay, just another quick update for today. now uploaded is the brand new trailer for another new film, "baby on board 2", the sequel to last year's baby on board. It's got some funny stuff and good editing and a great soundtrack, so be sure to go check it out. and, you get to see some never-before-seen-footage from the brand new movie [and some clips from a movie that never made it] so it's pretty cool! go get it! Also, i added a couple new peices of bonsai kitten merchandise to the online store [click the link above], including buttons and tee-shirts, so be sure to check that out too.

  what's up all. right now, you may be asking yourself a couple questions, and allow me to help you out with some answers.

1. what the hell is the bonsai kitten films?
bonsai kitten films is a comedy troupe, producing internet films for your viewing pleasure. "seriously deranged comedy" has been our motto for some time now, and we take it very seriously. The team is made up of John Bryan, Tom Hynes, David Strauss, and Jessica Licciardello and our cast has been highlighted by a number of other friends of ours, who you can find all on the movies page. 

2. what the hell happened to your old website?
well, like all things, anything that stays the same too long gets stagnant and boring. and stagnant and boring isn't funny. and we do funny. so this site is up as a simple, more maneuverable website that you can get info about us and the movies and be on your way, like your online drive-thru window for comedy. but i wouldn't eat the fish tacos.

3. i was grossly offended by your film about the exploding dog.
good, then mission accomplished. go cry to your mommy, sissyboy.

4. i loved your movie about the serial killer baby alien.
fuck you man, that's just uncalled for and rude. don't make me get my lawyer.

5. what's in the works for the future?
well, we've got a couple new movies in the works as well as plans to do a couple live comedy shows in the NY area. we also will have a new website up sometime soon (so you don't have to suffer with this crap) with tons more pics and info. so make sure to check back on the site often, because new shit will be up all the time. speaking of new shit, there's two new trailers up on the movies page- a teaser for our newest movie, "the big date", and a trailer for "baby on board 2". go get em!
